Other things to note: there is additional parking across the street, and the restrooms aren't gender marked, and are located immediately in front of you as you enter the door. The kitchen is visible from the counter and all workers were busy but not freaking out. I want to reiterate again how friendly and efficient the whole operation was. I strongly suspect when I return, I will very likely choose something really good. I think I just ordered something that I personally didn't enjoy as much as I hoped. The reason I WOULD GO BACK AGAIN is because of the uniqueness of the menu items. I gave them 3 stars due to the cold gravy and the density and size of the biscuit in relation to the fist sized piece of deboned fried chicken on it. The line looked long but the cashier kept it moving.

The counter service was efficient and very friendly even though they were pretty busy. I'm not sure if this is intentional, because I'm used to biscuits being light and fluffy made with baking powder/baking soda. The biscuit, although handsome indeed was undersized and sort of dense. It tasted alright, but I am used to gravy being hot. I visited on November 8th, 2018 with my English 110 class. The biscuit sandwich has a version of red eye gravy which was a little cold. Handsome Biscuit is a casual sit down cafe, located on 4200 Monarch Way right in the midst of Old Dominion University’s campus. This biscuit sandwich has a fist-size piece of deboned fried chicken on a proportionally small orange sweet potato biscuit. We ordered the Ella Fitzgerald biscuit combo meal. We were fifth in line when we arrived but don't worry, the line moves very quickly. As mentioned in other reviews, the place is small with maybe 4 tables inside but outside seating is available. We had a combo biscuit order which included waffle fries and a drink.

We went to the Handsome Biscuit for breakfast one busy Saturday morning.
